Tudor Walking Tour (an amazing start to your Tudor topic work)

This hour-long experience is absolutely perfect to accompany a visit to either Deal or Walmer Castle and provides essential information to allow your students to understand the invasion threat of 1539 and why Henry VIII was forced to build a 2.5 mile-long fortress along the Kent coast to protect the country from an invasion from the French and Spanish. The tour begins as soon as your students arrive in Deal and finishes at Deal Castle. We will collect them from the coach parking bay.

The tour starts way back in 1501 when Henry VIII who wasn’t the heir to the throne walked his future wife up the aisle when she married his older brother, Arthur
