Sinatra Arrested
Written by: George Chittenden : 29 Jul 2019
This photo was taken on November 26th, 1938 when Frank Sinatra was arrested on charges of adultery and seduction in Hackensack, New Jersey. Sounds a bit harsh doesn’t it? Sinatra was accused of having sexual intercourse with a single female who was formerly in good repute, something that was apparently against the law at the time. Just under a month later on December 22nd, 1938 Ol' Blue Eyes, was arrested again.
The charge was linked to the first arrest. The woman, supposedly of good repute, turned out to be married. The case was dismissed in court in January 1939 and Frank Sinatra went on to become an international icon. He earned his place as one of the most popular and influential musical artists of the 20th century and one of the best-selling music artists of all time, selling more than 150 million records worldwide.
