On This Day… The Most Famous Murder Case In Recent Years

It was on this day, 12th June back in 1994 when O.J’s wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman were stabbed to death outside Nicole's condominium in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles. The murders resulted in one of the most famous court cases of recent years, as her husband, former NFL player "O. J." Simpson was tried on two counts of murder. Surprisingly, despite the fact that he was aware of the murders he didn’t hand himself in. Instead he was caught following a low-speed police pursuit. O.J Simpson’s trial is often described as ‘the trial of the century’ and much to everyone’s surprise the retired athlete managed to prove that you can really get away with murder.
Despite overwhelming evidence, some of which wasn’t admitted in court, O.J Simpson was acquitted. So, why are you so confident he did it I hear you ask? Well, he did actually confess to the murder to one of his friends who was visiting him at Los Angeles County Jail, and the confession was overheard by a guard there, but it wasn’t admitted in court. There is of course, the DNA evidence too. Sadly, following O.J Simpson's acquittal, no further arrests or convictions related to the murders have been made. So, what are your thoughts?
