
The Original Ronald Mcdonald

This photo was taken back in 1963 and features the first ever Ronald McDonald. The character was first portrayed by Willard Scott who was a local radio personality.
Scott had played the character Bozo the Clown on WRC-TV in Washington, D.C from 1959 -1962, and in 1963 he featured in the first three television ads as the famous mascot of the McDonald's chain.
